Rustyn Dolyny

Assistant Coach | U17 Prep

Born and raised in Fort Frances, ON, Rustyn spent his youth hockey climbing the ranks until his junior days playing in the OPJHL for the Barrie Colts and Newmarket Hurricanes, earning himself a scholarship to Michigan State University. After four years at MSU and being named captain in his final year, he went on to play for the Muskegon Fury for six years. After his time in the UHL, he spent a couple of seasons overseas in Germany before heading home to Fort Frances and starting a career off the ice. Watching his son grow and develop into a talented player, the family pursued opportunities outside of Fort Frances, bringing them to Winnipeg. Coach Rustyn has great personal playing experience and a passion for the game that he hopes to translate to the young players of today. Focusing on development and understanding growth takes time, Rustyn is a great fit for RINK and RINK Hockey Academy.
