This Manitoba born-and-raised native comes from a deep hockey background, which includes five years in the WHL, and Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets NHL camp invites. At 21, he committed to the University of Manitoba with the Bisons, playing for five seasons. Following his university career, he played in the ECHL with the Wichita Thunder for one season, when injuries cut his playing career short. He then transitioned into player development at RINK Training Centre in 2016. For the inaugural RINK Hockey Academy season, Ian had the opportunity to be an assistant coach with the U18 team. He is extremely excited to continue to build the program and provide experience and growth for players.
