Carsen Sobey
Born in Winnipeg, MB, Carsen’s hockey journey began in the River East Hockey Association where he honed his skills on the ice. After competing at all levels, in Division 1 high school hockey, and in the MMJHL, he discovered his true passion for coaching. Carsen began his coaching career with the River East Marauders, where he spent four seasons, and is currently with the U15 Prep team at RHA. His coaching experience also includes roles with the Prospects Cup, Hockey Manitoba's Pursuit of Excellence, and Head Coach of U15 Team Manitoba Ball Hockey - an organization he has proudly represented as a player on three separate occasions.
Beyond the rink, Carsen is an active board member of the Cooper Nemeth Hockey Memorial Foundation, which has raised over $100,000 in support of Hockey Winnipeg initiatives. Carsen’s unwavering love for the game and his dedication to fostering both athletic and personal growth in his players set him apart, as he strives to shape not only exceptional athletes but outstanding individuals. Carsen is entering his second year with U15 Prep.
