One RHA Winnipeg alumnus was selected at the 2026 NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo this weekend – joining fellow alumnus Seth Jarvis in being drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes.

Carolina selected Zach Lansard at 68th in the third round, coming off a 56-point year with the Regina Pats. Lansard, a Manitoba local, hails from Ste. Anne.

“Zach is one of those people you genuinely want to see succeed,” said Rob Smith, Zach’s former RINK coach. “Selfishly, we would have loved to keep him longer, but his work ethic paid off, and he earned the opportunity to move on to the Regina Pats at age 16.”

Join us in congratulating Zach on an amazing accomplishment!
